Alright, so my tail lights are starting to fall apart and get condensation in them. I know this is a pretty common problem and I was gonna drill a small hole in them to air them out, but the seal all the way around is delaminating and some of the condensation froze the other night and cracked my driver side light. Im just gonna replace them so I was wondering what kind of options I have. Are there any aftermarket ones that aren't too ricey, or should I buy OEM replacements? And I might consider buying some used tinted ones, but Im not totally sure on that.

There are LED taillights for the 97-03. They come in chrome, black, and smoke (lightly tinted). I personally don't think they look that good (the square block of LED's doesn't flow with the design of the car), but they are an option.

My friends got those on his car, if you dont seal them really good they leak alot and they dont line up good for ****, other then that they look pretty sweet tinted. IF you get them tint them and seal them and it will look fine.

Thanks, I kinda like the LEDs. I guess I'll either buy some replacements and tint them or get some tinted LEDs. My driver side light cracked even more last night and Im just waiting for it to completely fall apart.

I have some carbon fiber style euro altezza lights. my plan is to eventually get them tinted. I like the smooth like and overall flow of the light. The factory ones are pretty ugly unless you tint them pitch black, and if you're doing that, you may as well have some that are already letting through more light...

Yeah, I'd say get some oem replacements or find some used ones on here cheap. Then send them to Flip... Getting them done by him looks 100x better than the VHT route many people go down IMO. As far as I've seen and heard he does awesome work and is a great guy to deal with and I plan on someday sending mine to him. I want either a light or medum tint I think...

That's why I chose the C/F ones. They were closest to "black". Gunmetal looked good too, but in the end I chose C/F anyhow. As I said, I plan on getting a White GP GT or GTP and I want to have them tinted before I go and put them on that car. At the same time I'll probably get a relay and some LEDs and do a conversion. Cops can't complain because the LEDs should power through the dark tint (which I'll probably have Flip do anyway, as it probably wouldn't make a huge difference since he does such a good job with that).

tl;dr: Ima make em black and put em on a white car w/ leds. =P
