hello all. i need to know if when you get HIDS for a 2006 grand prix in the low beam place do you have to disable the DRL's? i dont want to hurt them. i have read about having to but i dont have any clear info.

    so in recap

    1. do you have to disable DRL's for HIDS in low beam position to keep from damage?

    2. if so how?

    thanks!

1, yes, the DRLs run at only 85% efficiency, it will damage the ballasts if you let them run like that

    2. The DRLs are controlled by the BCM, currently there is no way to disable them other than turning them off manually with the switch
