Hi, not sure if I'm posting this in the right section or not but anyways...

I just bought an '01 gp gt about 1 month ago and the drivers side door sags a little, just wondering if there is anyway to adjust the door or if the hinges have to be replaced?

Also the trunk lid is up high on the drivers side, is there any way to adjust that so when the trunk is closed it is lower on the drivers side? I turned the bolt down by the hinge but it didn't seem to help any.

    Thanks, Ryan.

As for the door, you have 2 options, replace both hinges since there not rebuildable or put shims on the lower hinges on the door side. I did option 2 for now. It works well on my high mileage GTP

As for the decklid, check your bumper stopper adjustments, it maybe too high on that side

Maybe I'll give the shims a try, Do you have any idea how much new hindges are? Or if they are the same for front and back....I hardly ever use the back door.

As for the trunk lid I tried to adjust the rubber bumper but I think the rubber is torn or something, it won't turn up anymore.

    Thx.

If im not mistaken I believe you can get dorneman bushings from like orielly auto parts or other stores too these doors weigh a ton and are common to ratteling and saging. Ill let you know if I find anything else I know mine are driving me crazy too.

bushings cannot be replaced in the hinges, there no rebuildable.

You can replace the Hinges, there a PITA though. You'll have to pull the front fender and have some sort of support on the door to do it right. Thats why I opted for the 1/16" shim. I bet it'll last another 100k.

I went to a junk yard and found one that has good door hinges, they want $25 a hinge and $35/hr to put them on. Does that seem resonable for the hinges? I would think it would take 2 hrs tops to install them. I'll probably just try to shim it, I doubt I'll have the car for more than 100k.

On a different topic they had a set of the offset 5 spoke rims there, I'd like to use them for a set of winter rims, they want $50 a rim and they don't look that great, I'm sure they would clean up pretty well but is that kinda high for the wheels?
