a little... you'd just have to do a little bit of bending to make em fit depending on what type of grills you bought. It's no biggie though....

Ive heard that on some colors it doesnt look good because of the way the front end is molded. Like the big color was white cuz it shows gaps and different ways you look at it almost looks out of place. I have a white '01 and Im hessitant to buy because of that

The grills you can do one of 2 ways:
    1) you can rebend them thinner to make them fit with the air dam however, I am leaning away from this route as you run a risk of scrapping up your air dam with it.
    2) if you put the car up on ramps, you can actually side the grills up from underneath the front end. You will need to get a few self-tapping screws and washers and drill holes in the plastic guard and that way you have your grills, they will sit flush with the rear of the air dam, and no paint scratches. I'm going to be doing this this weekend so I'll be sure to take pictures and post a write up.

As far as paint, take it to your local body shop and make sure they blend the paint. The other option is contact Steve Blount (I'm not sure if he's on GPF but I knwo he's on ClubGP). He actually molded his air dam and front plate filler in then had it painted. That way you get rid of any gaps and it makes it looks like a stock piece,

Steve will tell you that with the air dam and if your car is lowered you will hit everything. He has had issues with that. Molding looks sweet but is a lot of work and expensive to have done. I was going to have mine done until I spoke to Steve. Mine is being painted and I am installing it as is. I do agree the darker the paint the better it looks. Blends in better. I have heard good and bad as far as fit. Matt and I seem to have been lucky on a good fit. I have heard from some other members theirs didnt fit very well.
Worst part of the air dam is shipping. Almost as much as the piece itself.

I don't have any experience w/the air dam itself. BUT I do know that if shipping wasn't practically the same cost as the air dam, I'd have 1

If anything they will get more expensive until they arent made or available. Remember roof rails? PFYC had em and now you cant find them. If anyone is on the fence regarding the air dam buy it before it's too late.
