I need to replace my windshield and i found a bunch of sites and they are at a good price, but when i enter the car info it only ask for make and model not if it's a se,gt,or gtp, cause i was told that the gtp's that have the hud which i have has a different windshield then the other models and if i use a regular window the hud will be blurry is this true ?

I got the non HUD windshield and the display is not fuzzy, but it isnt completely "straight". If I should have to replace this one, I would still save the money and get the non HUD one.

Ohh ok I think i will just buy the non hud window, because i keep getting pulled over for having an old inspection sticker. It's only $75 for the windshield at the local selvage yard. I got $550 to spend on the window and get it installed.

I heard the same. Vehicles with hud have a type of coating on the windsheild for it to reflect off of.

I have replaced several (at the owner's request) with the non-HUD glass. Honestly, I don't think anyone would ever be able to tell the difference because it is so slight. Mine was replaced by the previous owner (by me) with a non-HUD glass and I have no issues what so ever with it. I will tell you that the HUD glass is a bit crisper on the reflection. However if done improperly, it can become "fuzzy" also after a replacement. Not to the point of being horrible, but really no different than the non-HUD glass if set a little too high or too low off the vehicle's pinchweld. Reason being is the HUD itself can not be focused so it relys on the glass being the proper distance from the HUD. If the glass is pushed down too low into the adhesive, or set too high, it technically becomes out of focus anyway.

This used to be a lot bigger deal when the HUD glass cost roughly twice as much as the regular one, but now my company's price only differs by $80. Still, my personal opinion is that I would save the money. It's really up to you, but rest assured your HUD is not going to become inoperable with the regular windshield. Not to mention the many people who have swapped the HUD unit itself into non-HUD cars and project onto the regular windshields with no problems.

Here's mine with the non-HUD glass. Still completely legible and keep in mind some of the distortion is just from my terrible photography skills and the fact that it was difficult to get the camera to focus on anything other than the front of the workbench. LOL
