You can tie it in to the vacume line on the LIM
LIM? wheres that and how do i do it lol
LIM- Lower Intake Manifold. As to where to tie, wish I could be of some help. A question I am waiting a answer for also.lol!!!
yeah i'd like to actually know what there is for boost other than that digital thing
You should be able to tap a t valve into the vacuum line at any point and have it read boost just fine.
I know this is getting dug up from waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back.
Some of you were wondering how things were coming along with the steering wheel, shift knob...its been done for some time now, but here ya go:

I did say how I was working on my new dash, and other parts in some real carbon fiber...here ya go with that:

Only have been working to get my dash and interior parts done like this since 2001...about time to wrap that project up and install them. My old red dash pictured, and various other parts with the carbon fiber stick on dash kit will be removed, and for sale.

OH MY GOD, so much carbon fiber
Wanna make me a carbon fiber interior as well?
:th_biggrin2:
How much you want for the red dash?
Looking pretty good, although that might be a little too much CF for me.
Make me an offer.
What you will be getting:
Main red dash, with built in custom 3 gauge pod, and main upper center console/cup holder.
Headlight switch
HUD switch
left and right door switch bezels
left and right door opener surround
DIC with TSC button cover
Also have brand new in the box never stuck on real carbon fiber trim pieces for a 4dr. GP with NO sun roof, meaning there are two extra door handle open surrounds, and the over head console covers for a GP with out a sun roof. I believe there is a different DIC cover in there too, like for a SE I think.

Oh, I have more....
There is some under hood parts, and the entire main center console that is not pictured. There are many interior parts not pictured above as well. Most people would do one or two pieces...me...did a LOT cause I love the looks of the stuff.

Ya...not going to break any of this up. We can always build up another dash like this, i have several dashes on hand we can use, then you can paint to your liking.

I like the gauge set up, but it's a little OD on the CF, lolz...
To each is their own. I have lots of stuff done to my car people don't like. But ya know...I didn't build it to their likes, I built it for me cause its mine. :)
Its a carbon fiber overdose. All fine by me.

Hahaha definitely, we all do things to our liking. I love CF, just not a big fan of the interior make overs. Is all good! Great idea with gauges though, has me thinking now of doing something similar as I've got an extra dash laying around. Did you do a write up on it?
Nope, just busted the move.
I can tell you NOT to use bondo like some did. It makes it insanely heavy and very brittle and we all know how crude these dash's come out. I used some PVC tube for the pods, and set them in place with expand a foam, trimmed to fit, then on the front used POLY putty, (Like bondo but better) to make it smooth and uniform. Primer, seal, then ready for paint, or in this case wrapped. ;)

hey gr8 sry if this is getting dug up from long time ago i searched in google. it came up with this. do you happen to have a build log on how you built that 3 guage pod setup to replace the dic. did you use pvc and cut with angles to angle pods then filler fiberglassing am i close. i know there's ton'sssssssss way's you can do it. thx bro
