Hey guys I have a 99 coupe and I'm trying to dynamat the car and I'm having trouble removing the interior rear quarter panels. In sure its just held on by clips but I was pulling pretty hard with no budging. So if anyone has any tips or advice. I just don't want to bust to many more clips or possibly crack the plastic. Thanks

Just removed these to swap the cloth panel with leather. Pretty easy, and there's probably more ways than one to do it. The problem is that they put a clip connecting the upper door pillar trim attached to this panel near the rear, which means you need to remove this first.

    1. pop open seat belt bolt cover using T45 bit and remove seat belt anchor.
    2. remove light by *gently* poping cover off (clips on each side) like you are removing the bulb, removing both Phillips screws to remove light bracket, and finally pinching on either side of inner bulb socket to release bulb from holder.
    3. remove "clothing hook" by pulling the center part out and removing clip
    4. now just "tug" on the pillar to remove and pull forward

Now that that is out of the way, I'll have to double check, but I think you can just pull on the panel to remove. I say I'll have to check because I had the rear seat out as well to do this so I'm not sure if that interferes or not...

If you can wait till the weekend, I'll try to find the time to try this at the junkyard (don't want to have to do this again on mine), shoot some pics, and post a write-up.

    Hope this helps! Good luck

Shoot! I forgot to update this! Glad you didn't go through this yet. I took off my rear panel to hide some speaker wire work, and surprise! I was wrong. Didn't have to remove the upper pillar trim. The key is there are two clips along the bottom that you pull off first, then pull up. The clips below window are more like "shelves" so you need to lift up. You do need to remove both the lower and rear seat though. I would recommend buying generic gm body clips because it WILL break if stock, so save yourself some time. I know I said it before, but I'll try to make a short video tutorial this weekend. Good luck!
