I am thinking about getting some spray paint color matched to my 06 grand prix so that I can paint some parts of the interior dash. I dont have all that much experience painting plastic, should I use some sort of primer for plastic before I lay the paint on there or anything I need to know? I dont want to mess it up.

Make sure the surface area is clean. Depending on the product, there is usually a cleaner, a prep/primer, and the final paint.

I used SEM many years ago on my Bronco. Did the whole interior and it saw about 8 years of abuse and held up just fine.

FInd a local auto body paint and supplies dealer in your area, they should be able to hook you up with the proper materials to do the job right.

Just sprayed the rear deck with black vinyl and upholstery paint made by duplicolor. Looks fantastic and has no odors. One thing I was told is that you should never spray certain interior parts due to high traffic. Armrests, door handles, seats, etc.
