Depends on how good you are at fabricating just the electronic cut out on the exhaust I've found cheap as $60 but that's no pipe or anything or the most expensive kit I've seen is everything you need to install it and bam done was $149.99. It all depends on what you want to do and how good you are at fabricating your own stuff.

Depends on what brand and if it's a manual cut out or a electronic unit.

You'll have to do some research on it.

You'll spend between 60-200 for the cutout itself. I've been looking at a vacuum actuated unit it's $155 which is more than most of the electrically actuated ones. Then you have to put it in. No idea on the cost there.

are those kits any good? I've been considering a cutout, but haven't pulled the trigger because I've heard about quality and longevity issues.

It's up to you really just eBay electronic exhaust cut out. This is a kit I've been looking at its in mid range on price so I don't feel like I'm paying for crap and I looks okay. 272115274841
