How hard would it be to mold something to the fenders to get rid of wheel gap so that i wouldnt have to get the downsides of lowering??

If you are willing to cut and weld the body and have those skills, maybe not that hard. But it would look goofy.

Or build some custom sterring knuckles that raise the center of the wheel bearing up, thus lowering the car. But good luck with that one lol.

Lowering the car 1.5in overall does not really affect ride quality at all. I dropped mine of SSC springs and it rode like factory with just a little more bounce or "pogo" to it.

Just such a wide-open question: "How hard...".

To me, the max tire size is just too small. Visually. Strut design interferes with changing that. I think anything modified would look worse but I'm not sure. The length of the wheel opening has to stay same, but it's height could take a major drop. Hmm. If you're wanting something molded on, I pass. If you want to cut up some fenders and see what can happen, I'm in for coaching if needed. Tempted to photo-edit the idea.

Well i would like to lower it but where i live theres a lot of big dips in the road and as it is i come really close to bottoming out when i go over these dips if i was lowered i would surely bottom out or have to slow way down. This is why i was curious if there might be a way around doing it.

Well could you just take a piece of plastic or sheet metal and screw it on to the existing fender and bondoe and paint it?

Doing the same thing the right way would not be a great deal more costly because either way you need bondo and paint. Modifying fenders isn't that bad for a body shop or a good guy with a welder. Anything with a seam of two unlike materials will crack.

If you hate the gap lower it, if not deal with it. Unless your going to pay a shop quite a bit to do bodywork for you, it's not worth it.

If you want rust and for the bondo to crack when the body flexs, sure go right ahead.

I think you under estimate the stock ride height, what you think is close to bottoming out is really not that close. Or blame your really old factory saggy non dampening suspension that it has.

I could clear speed bumps, parking lots entrance and exits with dips and not scrape. Or even those county roads with those "dip" signs, I could clear them just fine at speed.

Yup and a minor drop of a 1-1.5 isn't going to cause you to bottom out unless your using old worn out struts
