haha trust me I drove mine too... It just seemed to last.. until that damn GTO smarted off... oh I showed him... who could break a hard part first!ahaha! If you mod, you will break stuff. If you turbo, you will break a transmission... no if. you will. So build it and build it right... 4t80 swap or GMR parts.
Oh and I am pushing 126,000 miles on the stock block... Right around 16psi of boost when it went into winter storage. doing heads, cam, new fuel system this winter, then moar booosts and powerzz after the winter!
