    Removed 80lbs from the car.
Bigger 26X10X15 MT slicks will be in tomorrow.
    22 psi vs 17 psi
40lbs of which is the new aluminum exhaust (back half only)
took out the 2 rear mufflers, I still have 2 resonator/mufflers in the middle of the car. Still sounds quiet.
The building behind makes it sound louder than it it.
    Love the new sound !

Ready for my attemps at 10 sec 1/4 mile.

Engine was warming up, steam is water in the aluminum piping from condensation. (before anyone jumps in calling my engine shot lol )

It has a tendency to run richer at the same pressure as a stock regulator.

I'm running 52 psi base pressure (car off key on) but it acts MUCH richer than stock. Had to lean out cruise/idle/part throttle quite a bit.
Your MAF gets maxxed pretty quickly at what 11500 then? Like at 5k rpms I'd assume?

So stock injectors and basically stock pressure?

With the new boost pressure I just set, it's maxed out quickly somwhere around 4K RPM.
Fortunately because of the smaller turbo, power is very linear through the powerband from 4K to 6K. No lean out, extremely steady A/F ratio of 12.5 at 22 psi of boost.
    At 17 psi i was 11.X (low 11s) when I ran my 11.6 @ 120 1/4 mile.

We have installed a methanol injection kit in case I want to go above 22 psi during the day.
If traction is good, I'm going all out. I'm bringing the trailer and the Wildcat Side by Side for when that poor stock trans will give up.
I'm planning to run a max of 25 psi if traction is good.

You have drag bags or spring blockers on the rear? Cheap enough and might get you a bit more traction.

Yes that would help a lot... do they make drag bags for the Grand Prix ?

Not sure if they do or not, but it can't be that hard to find one that would work I would think... Spring blockers are even easier and cheaper though, hell you could cut a piece of wood to fit in between all the coils and zip tie the crap on there lol

I like this, another red turdbo gp ....

Interesting to see how the stock converter slip will effect ya....

For me, I had a nice pickup from 16 to 19psi... after 19psi i had virtually no gains up to 22psi as the converter slip was insane.
The 1/8th would improve, but after that, hit a brick wall on going any faster then before.

1.6x 60 foot and 15psi was able to scrape me 10's... (forgot to change boost setting over) ... if running over 20psi, and getting
good traction, not blowing up... i can see 10's happening..

Car is pretty much ready, I'm not going to stiffen the rear end. The track I'm going to is pretty rough and bumpy. Too stiff could be dangerous.
I was going to hit the better quicker track but It's 3 hour drive vs 1 hour.
Traction should be "ok" as it is a test N tune import day., We'll see how it goes. Best day would be sunday but I'd love to get some fishing done on Sunday instead.

Decide that to with the aggressive set up first since the traction will deteriorate quickly. I'd rather try my best off the start.
Will go back to "street" mode for when the imports will be there.

Man the turbine sound is insane now even at idle.

IN my case I saw a big gain but that's on the street with little traction. You kind of confirm my suspicions on the converter, I was worried with the big power + traction. it could be a problem.

Just log the TCC slip and see where its at... If don't mind hurting it more, pull one of the 2 wires for the PCS from the pcm so its then wide open. Rough on the parts tho but get more fluid to converter.
MattM doesn't even run a PCS anymore.. and on their other drag cars, they just have a switch wired in to flip it on and off when needed.. I have a switch in mine. 1 day of use in at track pretty much
put the hurt on the old ZZP "race" converter. My TCC slip was over 1000rpm past the 1/8th. At the trap I was over 6800rpm. Good converter should now drop that by a bunch.

I'll be keeping an eye on that.
Just finished loading up the Wildcat and the GTP in the trailer. The GTP threw a curveball. Right when we were saying, it is ready 100%, for no reason whatsoever, it starts leaking from the bottom left corner of the radiator... just like that. It was cold and not running when it started leaking a lot. Had to do a last second rad change, take one out of the twin engine GTP...
saved 2 lbs from the lighter fan set up lol !

Holy hell half a sec and 5 mph!!! NICE

I take it them slicks work better........

Edit : just to keep track what was changed vs the 11.60 @ 120 run? besides just the tires

Slicks are NIGHT and DAY. put the back the small slicks just for fun, lost 3 tenths instantly.
However traction was still a big problem. This car is an easy high 10s (10.8) on a good track. That above run was my only time I hooked half decent off the line.
Most other runs I spun for 200 feet + wasting a lot of time. I have plenty power to run 1.5s 60 foot but the track was not up to par today.

If I had the track I ran 11.6 on, wow, I would have been back with a high 10s timeslip. The reason is simple, today was a Test N tune day almost no car were there.
On a race day the fast rails lay down awesome rubber for us to hook. But not today. I had to deal with missing patches of rubber on the track and all.

The slicks were wonderful though they compensated for the track, lucky for me. I'm easily 7-8 tenths quicker and 6 mph quicker than before on an equal track (race day track).
I did go up to over 24 psi of boost.
Still stock injectors but added more fuel pressure.

I now have a lot of torque converter slip and even seems like clutch pack are barely hanging in there in 3rd gear. Car is a monster in the 100-500 feet, then when I shift it slips a lot.
Again the slip was also a factor in not getting a 10s slip today. I don't think I will go back I know it can do it, but at this point it's not doing it efficiently. I will order up a built trans for it.
