had the day off today and decided to clean up my engine bay and areas, took apart the intake tube as im not intercooled yet. and the intake is lined with oil. not enough to tip it upside down and have oil run out but it is oily. and noticed the bov area has a little bit of oil on it. i checked the shaft play on the
turbo and it moves up and down very slightly but does not move in and out at all... im thinking the turbo is getting to much oil or not draining properly.

    any help is appreciated!

    Double check your drain.

What turbo are you running? You may need an oil restrictor.

I had a similiar case with my turbo too. Running a PT61 with the Cartuning kit and had it rebuilt by g-pop shop before I put the used turbo kit on. I'm running a restrictor and had the same questions. I called up G-Pop shop and they said that some is to be expected. I'm going to keep checking every couple of month for any additional shaft play since it has a 1-yr warranty. If it's a light hazing I was told it was to be expected. I'm running the supplied drain kit from Cartuning which has a 45 degree bend to start with a straight shot to the oil pan after that.

Edit...was also told that if you are running to much oil pressure that the first seal it's going to blow by is the exhaust side and you'll see that your car is burning a little bit of oil.

im also running a ct kit and i did notice the light hazing. from what i read and from what i was told, is that its normal to have a little as stated above. i want to try an oil restrictor and see what happens.

Some oil in the intake system is normal, depending on what you have for a pcv setup.. Those with a catch can etc I think have less oil in the intake issues than those just running a breather on the v/c.
