Found these old slips, this was a couple runs that night back from summer 2013.

Mods were Top swap 3.29's, 3.8 pulley, plog and 2.5" dp with tune at 16* timing.

Tires: Street tires fully inflated, no warm up. I always drive around the burn out wet water sprayed on the ground.

Lets get real here... i visited the track 2-3 times a month transmission had over 100 track passes on it lol. Transmission still lives and owned since march 2012 and is now in a enduro GP.

Ive always ran an amazing tune and lucas in my transmission by the way. Idk figured id throw that in.

    L67 bottom end-3.29's-3.3mps-42.5's-E85-SD headers-DHP Tune my own-Gen V-18* timing-AL 104s.
Soon: Stage 3 p&p heads, 1.9s and #90s.. All sitting for no reason just need installed.

So how much would you say you had wrapped into your car st that time with the top swap and different gears? I'm mulling over what I want to do. Either keep this as a work car or go out and get a g8 gt. I could throw 4-5 grand into the engine and tranny or put a down payment on a newer car?

That would be the stock gearing a GT, so no gear swap. The factory supercharged cars had 2.93's.

A top swap with headers/rockers would be simple, especially since you're tearing the whole engine down...and you might have a grand in it. I wouldn't do it without a pan drop, filter change, and a shift kit either...(no flush, that'll kill it).

That car was so close to 13's. On a cold day, with headers, and probably a more aggresive tune, it would have probably gone 13.7's.

    I did 13.7x @ 103~ mutiple times with a 3.5", 1.84 rockers, 3" downpipe/catback, and a basic DHP PCM...was a factory blower car, so 2.93 gears.

So rockers, headers, smaller pulley, shift kit, ported blower and ported heads would get me close to 12's right?

I would say no. It took me intercooler and cam on a 3.0 pulley to bearly squeak out a 12.99. Your results may vary but i would be guessing high 13s with that mod list.

Or there is me whom had rockers and headers and still cracked out 14.123. *Sigh*

I should let blue guy drive it, he'd probably get it in the 13's. I know with the 3.25 i've got on now my car is running it's ass off. Might as well have a lil fun with it before the new motor.

So I'm guessing about $3500 would get me a reliable low 13 second top swapped gt?

dont beat it like it owes you money and you will be fine. i put nearly 40k miles on my running several 12.8's and never had an issue with the stock trans.
