    THERE ISN'T ANY RISK.

Neither was that hooker with bumps in places.

But you only live once right?

And it doesn't itch right now.

Bet your plugs will look great, your fuel washed cylinders will love you, and I'll be bookmarking this for the: "Random Misfire Thread" the OP posts in a few months so I can link you to it.

lol thanks blue, exactly the point i was trying to get across. The Bumps do end up itching sometimes. :P As mentioned only reason you might be ok is cus your running rich as **** hence the point he made of washing your cylinders( aka wash down the crosshatch you need for your oil to stick to to keep the cylinder walls/rings happy). If you want to take the risk and replace a motor that you dont have money for because you obviously cant afford a tune/wideband ect. then be my guest. We are just trying to save you the hassle of going threw some of the **** most of us already have.

There are alot of guys on here that im sure would be willing to tune the car for you. So buy a wideband and do it right. Oh btw when the car is actually tuned because imo its currently not, you will be quite happy with the improvement. Basicly if your running say 9:1 afr right now to keep the car happy your losing power and washing your walls, if your running 12* of timing your losing power, if your knocking your losing power and potentially gonna blow up your motor. So without a tune most of your mods as useless and you probly gained nothing because of the 3 things just listed.

Thank you all for your constructive criticism. Would I be better off with just a 3.6 pulley? I do have the mps so switching to a 3.6 would be cake. Man, you guys are real sarcastic with this stuff. Cut us noobs a break lol.

You'd be better off with the stock 3.8 until you scan and see how much KR you are getting.

If that doesn't pan out, the obd2 adapter is wireless, provides more readings at once, and is a fraction of the price.

    Looks like he sold it

Better off with a stock pulley until you have a way to scan or have access to a tuner.

And cutting you a break? Just go research broham. Gotta learn sometime. I'd rather have spent a few more hours reading than putting a couple motors in my car back when because I didn't care to listen.

Take it from the people who have dealt with these cars for years... Scan KR and drop pulleys based on that not on mods. Also get a wideband and aeroforce. I am constantly watching Wideband, KR, TransTemp, Coolant temp and TCC slip (Fancy PI converter for the turbo setup -- gotta keep an eye on slipage)... scanning = safe.
