More power actually decreased MPH and increased E.T.
There is a sweet spot between trans slip and power at the moment 129 mph traps is all that trans can handle with headwind. Maybe 131 without a head wind.

Just seeing your video, the prep has to be good. Nothing like what we have here I'd bet a lot of money on that.
Normally the track I went to this weekend is good. But the temps made the glue slippery at one point I thought my trans was shot, that's how much I spun. didn't hear the squeal from the tire.
But it was not the case.

I will get 1.6s if I can a little luck and good track prep. But one thing I don't have and you had is the cable mod or suspension mods.
That is holding me back a little but track prep is #1 of my problems at the moment. 2nd is trans slip.
Either one removed and I'm 10s all day. My trans takes over 1 full second to shift into 3rd while I lost a lot of acceleration.

The new turbo is pretty challenging to launch.
Since I have a stock converter I have trouble building boost off the line.
I have to spool for at least 3 seconds to get decent boost 8-9 psi I launch or else I just light up the slicks and then I lose 2 tenths right there.
The other turbo made is easier to modulate power as it responded instantly. I also made less power.

If I ever go back again I will go with a progressive boost off the line, and then get into full power 200 feet out.
Track prep isn't the worst.. but not the best. The last time out there when I got the 1.56 it rained right before we got there at open. And they said
they were not gonna glue or clean as it looked like more rain was coming. Which didn't. I had to lower the slicks down to ~10psi, and launch at 10psi
to get any hook. Still spins some but started to finally feel good.

PRJ has my timing table for a "anti-lag" setup ... timing is around 1* during launch and jumps back up to full timing right as you roll out. So don't bust the
tires out instantly roll just a tad then gets going. That helped a lot. My best runs were with the boost mapping turned off. It also dumps in more fuel
during the staging to give the turbo a "kick" ... seems to work decently well. Takes some tweaking to get right. Screw it up and it bogs off the line, or
just roast the tires off. This was only way could keep the car from lurching badly during launch as before hand could only do 1psi maybe while standing
    on the brakes.

As for weight, what do you think your at? PRJ weighed it in at i think 3010lbs without driver.. That was before the fuel cell and cage went in. We chopped a little
metal here and there, but still guess car is still in the 3000-3050lb range with out driver as cage was 75lbs. Still has power windows/locks/heat/blah. Once the 8pt
has to become a 10pt, the dash will come out for a custom one probably or stock dash shell hacked up. Save a lot of weight under there. Then do the stock style
VFW fiberglass hood I have sitting, lexan glass, blah... be nice to get down to at least 2900lbs without driver. I want the car stock looking as possible inside and out.
But have to see how much of a pain that is with a 10pt cage.

How do you set up your antilag low timing map, do you use a coolant sensor disable switch to get the low timing during launch ?

My guess is the car is 3200lbs with me in it. But it could be 3150lbs as well. I will go and weight maybe later this week.

    Nope no switch...

I don't have the file in front of me and all the logistics of it, but basically for a track tune, you just mostly tune the spark table range where you are staging (building boost)
and then your RPM you take off at. For me, i am at 100% throttle for a moment before just letting off the brake and letting the car do the rest of the work. No feathering
    or anything.

(pulling #'s out of my ass right now)

So for me at the bottom of the table, I am at WOT already, 10psi.. so already at the bottom of the table from the time I launch to letting off...

    (680 mg/cyl) at 2800 RPM I am at 2* .... 3200rpm 4* , 3600rpm 12* and rest is 17* ..

Shoot me an email to jdredd@twc.com and can send ya a file of mine tonight to get an idea. It works very well for what it is. But since there is no switch,
for me there is a small 200rpm window. Launch to low of RPM, booooog city (low timing for a few moments) .. To high of an RPM, and roast the tires.

We used the Aeroforce gauge to light up when Boost was at X psi and when in PE mode.. once those lights went off, just let go of the brake.
Doesn't make well for a bracket car but cheap and works

That's one way to do it. Thanks for the insight on your set up !

It makes for some interesting street driving sometimes if you don't change it back.. but for a racekar it works just fine.
