Nope no switch...
I don't have the file in front of me and all the logistics of it, but basically for a track tune, you just mostly tune the spark table range where you are staging (building boost)
and then your RPM you take off at. For me, i am at 100% throttle for a moment before just letting off the brake and letting the car do the rest of the work. No feathering
or anything.
(pulling #'s out of my ass right now)
So for me at the bottom of the table, I am at WOT already, 10psi.. so already at the bottom of the table from the time I launch to letting off...
(680 mg/cyl) at 2800 RPM I am at 2* .... 3200rpm 4* , 3600rpm 12* and rest is 17* ..
Shoot me an email to
jdredd@twc.com and can send ya a file of mine tonight to get an idea. It works very well for what it is. But since there is no switch,
for me there is a small 200rpm window. Launch to low of RPM, booooog city (low timing for a few moments) .. To high of an RPM, and roast the tires.
We used the Aeroforce gauge to light up when Boost was at X psi and when in PE mode.. once those lights went off, just let go of the brake.
Doesn't make well for a bracket car but cheap and works
