67 is bigger on the turbine side. In terms of flow on the compressor it is not.
There is no way in hell you make 150 to 200whp more than me, fyi.
That's a lot...
over 20 psi of boost my 30R hotside combined with only .64 a/r housing is highly restrictive. But I can still make big HP/torque at lower RPM making up for the losses at higher RPM.
There is a 6262 Turbo going in the parts car today. That will wake it up big time and put the trans to bed lol
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Made 527 unlocked on 17psi with richer than a 10.0 AFR.
Fuel system has proven itself good to at least 24psi.
I can't see your car making more than 400whp.

99 mph in the 1/8 and I'm only making 400whp at 25 psi LOL....
Come on man. God damn.
You guys started all saying how I would never run 11s. Now I run 11.0
And now you claim I make 400WHP ?
What do you think the motor is in, a Civic ?? damn....
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Close to the same weight as a civic.
Full weight, even with a mint trans, and you'll lose 8-10mph off that trap speed.
My comment wasn't even about how much more power I make... it was about not being too quick to discount what others do when you're riding around in a shell.
Some people choose to add more mods like a built trans, cam, bigger turbo, and a fuel system to support everything, while maintaining a quiet and comfortable ride.
You chose to gut the car.
Both are perfectly acceptable solutions since the problems you're solving are of your own making.

Speculations, speculations...
10 mph, omg do you really believe I'd lose that much with 500 lbs of weight put back in the car ?
You are simply trying to dismiss the results here.
If I want to make power I can. I can go the crazy route as much as the next guy./
In the end I want to reduce stress the parts by going as light as possible without going into expensive parts like lexan windows, carbon fiber hood, lightweight wheels, tubular frame etc...
I want to keep as many stock parts as possible.
There is so much more I can do to the car to really make it as light as you think it is. Fact is, my weight reduction is minimal and simple to do/cheap. If I want to go crazy I could certain remove another 500lbs and then you could say I'm riding a tin can. And of course I'd be easily another 5 tenths quicker.
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Its not speculation.. I did the same thing you did and went faster... get over yourself.
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
If anyone trolls the other threads by the op i already did a hp based on et and mph according to his weight of the car.
it was an est using a hp calculator from dragtimes.com iirc and yes its only an estimate but im certian that car makes well over 400.
Just a hint to the OP ths is what happens when you make like 30 threads lol people bring up crap that was already covered in a different thread of yours......
Just sayin......

LOL, one thread is about the build, one is about the particular track session. There aren't no 30 threads !

IN a fiero ?
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Was kidding about the 30 maybe i added a zero i count this thread the gt500 thread and the one about the car..... That makes at least three lol

Apples to oranges
Rwd vs fwd = not the same just sayin
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Ok so sit on the hood of a gtp when you drive it. Weight is weight traction is traction.

Fiero is much much lighter, come on. Even a lighter GTP is nowhere near fiero weight. RWD helps you hook. 60 foot is nothing, I spin for 250 feet easy and that's when I roll in the throttle.
If I go full throttle off the line I light up the slicks and stay right there for a 2.2 60 foot.
That said, I respect what you did in the Fiero but it's not fair to compare that to my GTP.
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Ok dog the scales were wrong when I weighed at 3170 with me in it... on the same scale that had many 2800lb gtps on it.

That's one heavy Fiero then. Chances are you are still lighter than me, more aerodynamic, RWD and Rear engine mount. 100% of the weight on the rear tires.
Doesn't get any better than this.
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
A 1987 fiero more aerodynamic? Please I get 400lbs of lift on the front end at 130mph...
Re: Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike !
Weight bias between front and rear in a fiero vs a gtp makes this so pointless. Weight transfer, launch, handleing, traction, again is apples to oranges comparing fwd to rwd......
Way off track here so umm yeah.

I looked hard at the Fiero, when I first wanted to do a sleeper project. However my biggest concern is that it's a death trap with no weight up front...
But I know for a fact it will be MUCH quicker than my GTP with the same powertrain. No doubt about it...
Yes aerodynamics will be much improved.
Don't tempt me too much I'll prove you wrong again lol
So your Fiero, are you still on a bone stock transmission, bone stock engine and bone stock converter ?
