I miss those days, I had a 66 nova SBC , pops had a 70 cutlass 442, we passed the wins back and forth till I decided to do a head/cam switch.

Yeah, I had a 72 chevelle 350 sb and my mom had a 68 impala with a nicely built 327. For as big as that car was, it could haul pretty good. Like you said, I moss those days.

My first car was a 68 Impala 327 Sport Coupe. I miss that beast, 327 was toast, so the 400 pontiac got a nice poke and stroke. The thing still runs to this day.Originally Posted by BADAZGTP

They were some nice cars. Wish she wouldn't have gotten rid of it. We also had a 68 GTO. My dad sold that one with out me and her knowing. Man were we pissed. Needed a little TLC, but that was going to be mine and her project.

Now you can tell your mom that you need more stuff for your supercharger to get "better gas milage" lol. I'd take a ws6 over a cobra anyday even the 03-04's.

A local 03 cobra runs 11.1 with just bolts and tune.
At least thats all i know it has.

screw ford. they need a blower to even keep up with ss camaros. ford are peices and break all the time. the cobra may be fast but its still a peice.

Went to the track today! IT SUCKED! lol. It was SOOO cold! Couldn't heat it up for nothing and plus there was ALOT of "ricers" there they would just drive threw the water and drag water all the way up to the starting line! Anyways!! Best pass in the Cobra was a 11.5 at 113.3mph. I was hitting 11.7 all day and the track got warm and I broke out a 11.5. And this is in a 1/4mile. I just hope I can get the gp to hit those with the turbo set up!!! woohoo!!!

the reason i ask, is that with a ET like that and a trap speed like that....gotta wonder.
i could beleive a 12.5, and thats still very good for a stock trim terminator.

Tires never got off the ground? rmm...And from posting that time on a mustang forum thats slow...lol. And 11.5 not as in 11.05 but as in 11.52 but anyways 60ft time was .517 I did cut a perfect light 3 times!! woohoo!! But Thats why most people pay me to run there cars cause I have a killer reaction time.

I guess just natural talent! First time I ever raced a car was a Rodster out at our local track. The guys couldnt get under 6.5 (1/8) and they thought well since im like 100lbs lighter throw me in! So I did and cut a near perfect light my first time! lol!! Soooo I kinda got a name around here for my reaction time! Its funny cause I would rather cut a perfect light then a good number going down the track! LOL..I dunno im strange like that.

One thing I found out at the track is it does not have a stock Throttle body on it. It is a aftermarket one. I know nothing about those cars and where we bought it said nothing about it being modded! But some ford guys said its not really modded! lol. But it has a "big oval" throttle body. I don't get why it has a aftermarket throttle body...but anyways! So the mods to it now are magnaflow exhaust system, homemade KN intake system, and Throttle body!

a .517 60 foot time is tooting the wheels FAR past the 60 foot mark. guys that run 9's at 160 can only cut 1.2 60 foots. i think you mixed up your numbers a bit. plus an 11.5 is A NEW WORLD RECORD for just cat back or mufflers.
do you still have the time slip. 113mph for a stock tire/suspension cobra should be around 12.6 if you cut a good sixty. a bad sixty and you could easily be 13.5.
the mph is pretty accurate but i think your e.t. is a little off.

Im not really sure where you are getting your info...but she is in ALOT of ford websites and people are running 11.5 pretty much with the same mods. and her car with the "mods" on it should be pushing out around 450hp. I can take a picture of the slip and post it but I dont have a scanner. And we wasent running on stock tires. Also if ya read the post before you would see where I said the car also has some type of throttle body on it. So its not just a exhaust system.O and looking at the Car and driver list of ALL cars "stock 1/4 times" 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 4.5 12.9. Im sorry if you don't believe me. Its not far fetch. im pretty sure ANYONE who has ever ran a car at the track knows chances are your not ever going to run what someone else does in the SAME car! Maybe close but prolly never the same. I ran almost 2sec faster then stock...rmmm whats the big deal!? Also her car is now FAR from stock. She got ALOT of mods for Christmas!!!

sweet cars none the less. and yea they are underrated but factory there putting 370 to the wheels. ruffly 420 crank hp.
forged internals that can go 9's with bolt ons. yes a kenne bell is a bolt on and they never have to touch internals. one of the best bang for the bucks you can get.
there was a guy at sivler doller with us that went 10.3 with just bolt ons, non ported eaton.
