I was just looking through Youtube Grand Prix videos, and I found this little gem. The wheels on the camaro must've stolen so much power.

Well I just don't see the point in spending that much on stupid looking wheels, when you could have spent that on lots of performance upgrades.

Cause that's what the owner wanted?

LT1's stock(F-Body) vs a stock GTP should be fairly close. Mod the LT1 a little and it should stomp a stock GTP.

Hell, my LT1 Caprice with basic mods will flat out leave my GTP 0-60, but that's cause I can launch that car as hard as need be without just spinning.

But in all fairness mod the GTP with just bolt ons and it will be back to the GTPs race to lose

275 HP and RWD vs 240 HP and FWD. Oh and less weight too... I don't wanna be the debbie downer here but um... Yeah. A proper running LT1 vs a proper running L67 is gonna be a **** show. Stock for stock.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of stock LT1s going upper 13s.

Yea depends on driver. Usually 14-14.2s just under 100mph. They make good matchups with gxps but even gxps can beat them most times.

An LT1 to me is nothing special Id never put money into one, Ive driven them and wasn't impressed at all. The only car Id buy with an LT1 is an Impala SS.

    So basically any B-body then?

LT1 is a great motor, capable of putting down the same amount of power as any SBC.

They are notorious for their crappy Opti's but I can honestly say that with over 200k on the wagon, multiple waterpumps failing and dousing it with coolant, it's never missed a beat.

Plus, an LT1 will always sound better than a GTP.

All this being said, I'd much rather play with an L67/L32 than an LT1.

I'd love a LT1 albeit the new one. With that said there's a local lt1 fbody that would hurt lots of feelings around these parts, 10.60's n/a.

Did anybody else notice how ridiculously big the wheels on the monte carlo at the end of the video were?
