Held my own against a 95ish z28. First race was an unexpected roll about a 45mph. I was getting his attention by creeping next to him he jumps but I floor it right after. took it up to 95ish and the whole time he was slowly walking me and put about 1-2 cars on me. Then we get side by side at light and soon as it goes green we both nail it and Both burn rubber like no tomorrow and we are seriously neck and neck til 50 then I let off due to red light and he stops with a nice exhaust pop. I was pretty shocked he didn't destroy me but impressed myself. He has exhaust for sure and I would guess intake with nice 18in rims. He also had a passenger.

IIRC, LT1's trapped around 97-99mph, with your mods & him having a passenger I can see it being close

Ya'll haven't been around the right LT1... a 200K former king of the trailerpark isn't exactly a threat.

^ This. While most LT1s are ran into the dirt by people that think factory 14s are fast as balls, there are alot of very quick LT1 cars.

But odds are it was a factory car, with a poopy exhaust (since backfire) and he thought "I'll show this granny car guy a thing or 2 about.... why is he STILL BESIDE ME!?!?!?!?!? AHHHHHHHHH" *backfire*

Lmao ^ good one. Ive driven a 93 z28 the first year of that body style and it was alright but I think it had a problem or two cuz acceleration was a bit weak. My car feels more torquey.

I wouldn't laugh too hard- One of my local guys has a '93 with a 383 LT1 on a F1 Procharger...It makes roughly what 4 GTPs do at the wheels.
