How much will you spend modding your GP? Where do you draw the line? If money were no object would you still have the GP and go nuts or change cars?

That depends on how original you want to be. Were money not an object... carbon fiber unibody, rwd twin-turbo 454ci LSx '00 GP coupe sounds sweet.
Its not about money.
If it were, you'd buy something fast if you wanted to go fast.
Or something that can go low if you wanted to slam it.
And so on.
what i paid of it,
EX: i paid 3k for my car, so my goal is to put 3k into it. Unless i wont to go super racekar status then i nos care about the moneys
I originally told my self I just wanted rims tint and a solid 3.4 set up. Now im buying and IC and gen V. Mod bugs man.. theyll get ya
i think over the cars lifespan... id spend around 1500... just to get me where i wanna be low 13's high 12's
$3500 for the car. $200 on tint. $1150+/- on rims and tires. That's what I have in it. In my current position, another $2000 would be about it. An L36/L26 swap, a cam or rockers, some lowering springs, GT or Monte interior, and light bodywork/paint.
plan on spending 3k on GP for mods, lowering springs, some motor work, vette brakes
i have another car to piss my money away on.
if i had more money honestly id be driving something different. but while i have a cheap dependable car im going to do what i want to it. my goal is to not exceed what i paid for the car. i payed 5k. so ill put 4,999.99 into it. then probably falter and throw more in
I took a look at having a low cost car.
Car $1400
Fix/upgrade suspension and radio, add a couple other creature comforts. I have about $5K into my car with all the stuff I've done. Over 3-5 years...that's a cheap car.
America loves underdogs. I don't care how fast a lambo is. I want to see a cheap piece of junk grocery getter sh#t on everyone's lunch. It also helps if the car's comfty and roomy and useful for passengers/junk... like a W-body.
I paid 11k for mine when i bought it. I didnt get it because its like some insanely fast car. For 11k i could of gotten faster. But GP's are boss dude. I plan on modding mine all i can for as long as i can. Its awesome having a 4 door v6 like the GP GTP that can still hold its own against alot of cars and looks really sexy cleaned up or dirty. Im not going to limit myself on money, i dont currently have any to spend but when i do ill stop modding whenever i feel like i accomplished my ideal gp.
I paid $2500 for mine and have about $500 in repairs and upgrades so I think I've done prety good. I'll probably throw some more money at it before to long though.
$30K on the car
$3-4K on upgrades, gotten married and have a baby girl now that are more important then my personal wants so I think I am done![]()
I have put double what I paid for my car. I love my ****box so I'll probably end up spending a couple more g's. If I had to do it all over I'd still do the same. When/if the car ever goes up for sale it will be priced well below what I have invested.
Then it's on to a Fiero....
With a 3800.![]()
