Prix or stang ???
If you talking Grand Prix's then yes...you'll take 'em. With the GT Mustang...it's close, that one comes down to driver...I've pulled and beaten them, but I havn't really had a good race to base yes or no answer on. Have Fun!
Actually no..I've raced several new GTP's and won every time with ease. They have a lot of Torque management, and the car is heavier. But beware the CompG's...they get the job done!
all down to driver.....
the only diff with the comp g's is gearing. 329 vs 293. little stiffer suspension also. the torque management is not near as bad as what people make it out to be. i can spin my tires all the way threw first and well damn, maybe i need a little more torque management. i can also cut pretty much just as fast of a 60 foot compared to older gtps. and i also had 45psi in my tires. the only time i can kinda feel torque management is when i drop first from a roll, i can feel it kinda easing in to it but after a second its fully in it. and yess they are about 100 pounds heaver but the 20 more hp makes up for that. ive had no problems with older gtps. im sure they were all stock tho. the comp g is pretty much set up for better handeling.
to the op. you shouldent have a problem with the gt. i think they did away with the 3.29 gearing for the newer models and have the long 2.93's so yall have the same gearing but you have a supercharger. should be no problem if your car is running good.
NO NO NO the gt's kept the 3.29's and the 3.29's were given to the comp g and the 97-03 gt has 205 horse and 230 tq not 200
ZZP says they have pulled a 1.9 60' on street tires, but I wonder what mods they had? Im close with a 2.02, but I still need to play with tire pressure a bit. Im probably going to wait till Ice Breakers in the spring before I go back to the track. By then it might get ugly lol.
i know you were pretty damn close. im problew gonna break motor mounts again trying :/ theres a track day nov 22, hopefully badazz and tdc will make it out
Just be good at the light and feather it for a sec and roll into it. You may have a few chirps once you get on it hard, but it shouldnt be much if any. It's all about timing and finesse Just lower you tire pressure and play with it....see what works for you. I wish I lived closer to you guys..the track day would be hella fun!
