Odd that I have now received 27 requests through PM that this thread be closed. Truth hurts?

3400 vs 3800..... there's no top-end to speak of in either in n/a applications lol. Older GTPs, Lumina Z34s and Monte Z34s would most likely poop on either car's top end with the 3.4 DOHC.

Indeed, which is why I referred to it when "top-end" came into play.

stock gp vs stock ga it wins due to gear ratio, and being 350 pounds lighter then the gt's.
if your modding and staying n/a, a worth while mod is changing up gears, may lower mpg on highway but if your modding you car you shouldn't worry about how much gas you consuming lol.
im going 3:69 or w/e i can do when i find the right deal.

if your modding and staying n/a, then you've already accepted the fact that anything done other than going with forced induction from this point on is pretty much useless, and will result in exactly what you had before: a slow car

Not all of us want a fast fwd car.. as its just as lame due to the fact its still fwd lol, some of us just want a lil extra power for passing. If I want power ill get a rwd v8(was paying into a mustang but decided to go another route).
Yes im butt hurt so dont ask

Lol I agree that a stock gpgt would lose, when I was slightly modded it took a bit before I started to move out on the thing

my dohc z34 stock nicely took out a gagt ram air. a friend of mine rented one and went on how it had the same hp as my Z and wanted to race. back then i didnt have any mods... but it still took him. that was all before the tuning and gear swap (3.73 ratio) and porting of everything.

and more food for thought... a dohc z34 vs a 3800 z34 will be slower down low/off the line but will make up .2ths by the end of the 1/4 mile. so i dont see how the gagt will beat even a gt off the line.... then again the gt might not be as fast as the z34 i know the z has a weight advantage too....

    lets put it this way.
    ga gt, 3400... a 3400 is a 3100 with a slightly bigger intake.
i drive a 3100. its really slow and will get pooped on by a 3800 but not by much.
its also funny how everyone here says "3100 has no chance in hell against a gp gt". in this thread "yeah, a ga gt will beat a gp gt"
da fuq is everyone smokin right now.
