Not really, because the GTP I ran was bolt-ons car. My GT is basically stock too, plus I had the passenger, the GTP didn't.

That race looked about right, stock for stock...those 3.29's really make a big difference for the N/A car.

What cam would you suggest? this car is my DD year round. Not sure if the XP cam is streetable for a DD but i dont know. im guessing i would be safer with a NIC or VS cam?

I feel as if putting at least 2-3 cars on him on a 30 roll is pretty good for being a first race ever. I wouldnt know much but that seems pretty accurate to me. Seems like a decent distance apart from the two cars

NIC is nowhere close to a VS in streetability...

I DD'd an XP for over 40k, then swapped in the Thrasher for close to 20k, then demodded.

S1X or XP with a new chain/dampner and 105 springs...idle set around 850-900, should last quite awhile with no issues at all, and that's 3.25" pulley territory with headers...

So headers, 104s, new plug wires, Overkill tune (then eventually get a real tune), with an XP and i can easily run a 3.4 and maybe smaller with that setup?

    Yeah, easily a 3.4"...

But, I'd rather have a custom tune on a cam...I'd never get a canned tune for a cam...regardless if you want a canned tune for a basic 3.4" setup, go with a DHP PCM from 3800performance.com.

Then if i can easily run a 3.4, then whats the smallest i can run on that setup and be knock free? i dont have the money to replace a chipped piston

Keep the 3.4" then, run more timing.

    Timing > Boost.

    two questions for you.
1: S1X or XP then? i want the one with better idle/accel sound
    2: SSAC or SD headers?

    1) You won't really notice a difference to be honest...but I'd choose XP because I loved mine and it is aimed a little more at the higher end of the RPM range where the stock valvetrain lacks...S1X is more low to midrange targeted...so you might want that, it's up to you...idle is about the same...but the lift on the XP is a tad higher.

    2) SSAC's, because it's basically the same thing...and the people I know with SSAC's don't have the crappy flex issue as people had with SD's.

You can buy them for $175...at Turbo Kits, Turbo Manifolds, Import Performance Products, SSAutochrome Inc.

Also, link in my signature man...forrealzzzz
