And the gauntlet has been thrown down again. Maybe there's someone here with a brake upgrade who will challenge that category as well.

Did you see the thread where the guy said that a Grand Prix is a sports car and should handle like one and he couldn't understand why the steering was loose? I told him a Grand Prix never was and never will be a sports car. Its a heavy nosed FWD family car and handles like one.

kill story threads fall apart after about 4 posts anyways. but if you're gonna get involved in a huge pissing match, at least it's here and not in one of the useful subforums

And so far NO violence. I was driving a bad road that I am only slightly familiar with, came up on a turn sooner than I expected it, I was surprised I wasn't in the field. It made the turn but was rough going. It surely wasn't on rails and it's no sports car.

S/C Cobalts run mid-low 14's stock. Not much quicker than a bone stock L67, sometimes not even as quick. I even beat a few stock SS S/C's from a dig clear back when my first GTP just had a $30 cone filter from autozone. And they come with twice as much boost stock, with an intercooler and weigh 500-600 less AND make more whp stock. I don't see how that's impressive at all. Pretty pathetic really. The LS6 is maxed out at a lousy 300 whp also. And it sure as hell does not take a ''rediculously modded S/C 3800'' to beat even a stage 2 S/C slobalt. Only a completely naive fool would say something like that. A friend of mine had a GM stage 2 SS S/C about 6 years ago and he bested a 13.7 @ 103mph with it. And he is a damn good driver. My current GTP would have raped that cobalt from a dig or a roll today.

I just read the first few posts and i did not know there was a ss S/C and a ss Turbo, and the supercharged has 200 HP? My base gp has 200HP and looky here i dont need a supercharger do it lol. so can i beat him ( most likely not with the weight differ )

All i knew was that cobalts were gay lol but the turbo ones are pretty quick and are great cars considering its a chevy. BUT i know that the Turbo Cobalt will still loose to a GTP depending on the mods though i think stock a GTP will win wont it? If not i dc I still a take a GTP over a Slowbalt any day, Btw nice kill

260hp/260tq vs. 240hp/260tq, with a huge weight advantage to the cobalt... drive one, you won't call it a gay slowbalt again.

The Supercharged Cobalts had underrated factory hp numbers just like the SRT-4 did. I'm not sure about the Turbo ones but hat 205 bhp advertised for the supercharged ones is actually more like 260 bhp. Your GT would get slaughtered. Usually it takes a GTP with a 3.5/3.4 pulley, air filter, PCM and headers to beat a stock one from any speed. That's only about $400 in mods though now days.
