Well I'll put in my 2cents here as an owner of a 04 GTO I will say the LS2 is overrated and there is no 50hp difference with just shorty headers a K&N fipk and tune I pull a 12.99@105 with a 1.8 60' I have been up against a stock 05 GTO and we were nose in nose to about 100mph ,I get good 60'with Nitto DR's I also run them on my GP .
    04 gto stock,97 GPGT l-36 block diamond pistons ,l-32 rods ,custom comp cam grind,HS 1-7 RR, p&p heads, SS IC,SS M-90 3.5" ,4t60eHD,from Gonzales TX.

What are your 60's lookin like with the nitto's on the gp? Do you have to heat them up a whole lot? And how do you launch? Just floor it off the line? not to firmiliar with slicks on a fwd car so thats why i ask.

IDK what you are talking about though...I beat a '06 GTO, GM Ripshifter, removed exhaust, K&N CAI...he didnt pass me until about 100 or so and it was pulling for all it was worth too...you gotta figure GTO's weigh about 4400 lbs. though...

I can manage a 1.85 60' with very little warming them up of course that in south TX and the temps. are 100+ .Chico.
