Yea, it's sitting out at my moms house. Before I had to move here to Georgia, I was getting ready to drop a 5.0 into it and make a little pro street out of her, but I don't have anywhere here to do it so I sold the motor and tranny. Thanking of sending the truck up the road. By the time I get around to messing with it, it probably won't be worth it. I have a 69 super beetle there to that I got to get started on also. That was my dads so I'd rather work on that one anyway.

Yeah they made Fox Body 4 bangers, they sucked ass! But there very simple to do a 5.0 swap. The best drag car hands down is to buy a notch back 4 banger car. Thats what i've always wanted anyway, perfect drag car, way better than a hatch.

I knew someone several years ago who had an 86 SVO Stang w/ a 2.3 Turbo. It was decently quick too! With a straight pipe and a cone filter and 200,000 miles it ran mid 14s which is damn good for that era. I hear those Turbo 2.3s can run deep into the 13s and even 12s with nothing but bolt ones. I believe those were the some motor they put into the Thunderbird Turbo coupes...

Yea, I like that body style alot better. And when you seen the hatch, people alreagy knew 5.0, but with the LX, it was more of a toss up of what was under the hood.

Yes they did use that motor in the turbo coupe T-birds (my uncle has one), those turbo thunderchickens move for what they are, and handle rather well too. Only thing that was bad about them was that no intercooler was included in their setup.

Man i will tell you one thing as an owner of a 92 mustang LX coupe that was a 4 banger now a v-8 is you better know what year and what kind of car that the V-8 came out of and even knowing that Ford is stupid it is so confusing trying to find parts. My next project car will definatly be an older GM or possibly a Dodge never done a Mopar any thoughts on those.

The only Mopars that are worth messin with are the old ones... My parents have a '70 Challenger with a 318, '68 Roadrunner 440, '70 Charger R/T 440, and a '70 Coronet 500 convertible with a 440.... They are alot more rare than your common Camaros, Novas, Chevelles, Firebirds... And the big blocks are easier to work on and make tremendous torque... For instance... on my dad's road runner, it's a big block 440 and the distributor is right in the front, oil filter is on the front to where you can literally reach down and twist it off... The water pump is changed by removing the fan and guts... The housing remains on the block... For suspension, Mopars have torque arms up front instead of control arms... They last longer, preventing you from having to change ball joints frequently, and are adjustable to raise and lower the car a few inches up or down... They are a little harder to find one that isn't a rust bucket...

Any old Muscle car from the 60s-70s is going to cost a bundle to do right. My Gfs dad has got a 72 Nova, its far from stock but I couldn't tell you how much money in NOSparts are in that thing. My friend w/ his 72 Road Runner was going to a restore it, though all he did was motor and tranny work. NOS parts on that thing wasn't cheap either and left the interior and body ****ty.

Ya nothing is cheap anymore. I would like to find an older chevy or mopar tho. But maybe i will just be done with little project cars and do the grand prix all up. That would be worth it. (oh and also is anyone on here close to Montpelier, OH my dad and his friend started a car show. I would like to see more people there. our regular nights include about 38 cars. We had the super cruise last night and had about 119 cars and 10 bikes. I would like to see some GPs up there other than mine. So if any one is close the cruise's are every 2nd and 4th tuesday of everymonth. The last on is in 2 weeks tho for this year. Let me know if you need directions or more info.)

We had a 1985 Mustang with 4 banger. My grandma bought it new in 85 drove it for a while my Uncle learned to drive in it my uncle drove it for a while we got it when my dad sold his old chevy truck and in the early 00's my mom sold it for 300$ because it needed new brakes and new paint on the bottoms of the doors because we were redoing it a little.
That was sposta be my first car but she sold it too soon and so I had to buy a car my self.
    And my GP was it.
