i find this hard to believe, the packer i used to drive was gvw @ 67,400 almost 70,000
empty it weighs 30,000 lbs.

we are talking garbage trucks here, packer and roll offs, most tandem trucks are rated for a gvw or 70,000, anything with a pusher 'tri axle' where the extra wheels are in front of the tandem, is 80,000 lbs and a tag axle (behind the tandem) is less than 80,000 but in the mid 70,000 range.

i have pics i could show you of the gvw on the side of the trucks to back this up.

ive been driving trucks at 80,000 lbs and over for years. food waste is unbelievably heavy.
