that sticker is the gross weight that the car can carry. not the weight of the car

Thought I'd just throw this in here instead of a new thread since it's not as interesting, but I have been wanting this for a while. There is a kid running around my area talking about his awsome boosted RX-8. They are some nice lookin cars, but I hate them cuz their "cool" factor is so undeserved due to their extreme lack of power. So finally a friend of mine instigates enough to get this guy to race me. He thinks he's got me already, but after three digs of me putting about 3 to 4 cars almost instantly, a couple 40mph rolls where he'd take off, but I would pull past, and one 30mph roll where it was even until I hit about 90+ and pulled out ahead. We pull back to hang out, and he asks my favorite question..."What you got done to that thing?" Ha..just exhaust! :-) I am so glad I got to beat em and let everyone know that they aren't as cool as they look! Given he's only boosted 7lbs, but hey...I'm only boosted 8lbs right. Probably even less since I'm living above 6,000 ft., and his boost is read up here.
I'm no expert yet...but I've heard the M 90 runs 8-9 lbs stock at whatever elevation they test...probably california. Could be wrong...but I guess I'm around 5 or 6 lbs maybe...who knows. I still win! Oh and according to Intense racing I think it was...the stock pully is a 3.8. Which is freakin huge compared to the 2.25 my buddy just threw on his cobra!!
again i think the 3.8 pulley is 2 pounds of boost. people run 3.2 pulleys to achive 8-10 pounds of boost. and elevation might have a little to do with boosting, or building boost. thiner air and all. i boost harder when its colder. does your boost bar go all the way up? if so then your problew getting full boost. mine wont see full boost till i get over 4500rpm
Im in N.C and my boost gauge shows 6 lbs. at full throttle, and mine is running the stock 3.8 pulley
i think cobras come stock with a 3.25 pulley and makes 8 pounds stock. we both have eaton superchargers so pretty much the same boost on the same size pulleys
well ive done a little research and it seems it is 6 pounds...humm. not the first or last time i will be wrong![]()
Yes my dic reads full boost around 4500rpm's or more when I'm WOT. No numbers...just those damn blocks
