There wasn't an M3 for the year 2000 to the best of my knowledge. 99 was the last year of the E36 M3 (240 hp), 01 was the first year for the E46 M3 (333 hp). The two are fairly easy to distinguish from one another. You want to avoid getting the BS flag in the future? Well in all truth. I would hate myself if I bought my wife GXP instead of our Comp G last year. I would have paid thousands extra for slightly better performance that can be had for a few hundred. And the interior is pretty much the same. The only major difference is a bigger engine with worse Gas mileage that has 5% the aftermarket support as a 3.8.
Yes V8's are found in more (real sports cars) in general, but when it comes to GP's the rules are bent.
& not to come off offended or anything, but the track record of your credibility does not coincide with an individual that can talk smack about what qualifies as a real sports car.
