I admit it isn't my proudest moment. Racing my Regal with 177K on the clock with darker than overdue engine oil fluid in it and known issues.If TCC doesn't lock up, a quick push on and off of the perf button will do the trick. Trans seems to love me as it keeps holding on and treating me well.
Being a Regal and winter, I'm not expecting any races. When this punk left the stop sign next to me with some authority, I realized he was going for it. I left with him, w/o getting on it.... so I'm in a lazy second gear acceleration. I punched it, got the downshift with a bit of tire squeal and quickly made up the ground for the pass before the stoplight ahead. Guaranteed that Smart won't mess with another Regal for a long time.
