gt500 have not impressed me at all.
intake exhaust and tune putting you in the low 11's are not impressive?? and you do have a point about the supercharger...but then again they already put it on there factory for you, one less thing you have to do later down the road. look at the moding potential. its quite easy then. 03 cobra vs 02 SS. intake exhaust and pulley for the cobra puts its easily into the 11's for about 1200 bucks. can you do that as easily with a camaro and for as cheap....NO. you have a point but you have to look at it from both sides. if you plan on moding your car its a great start. what would have been easier to mod for me. the N/A grand prix or the supercharged grand prix??? plus ford uses smaller motors anyways...

    I agree,
I was looking at the gt500 compared to Corvette (more on road course)
I know they are fast as **** and I'm not saying it is a bad thing that they are charged. Just that, this is the reputation Ford is getting "slap a supercharger on it" whether that be good or not? It seems to be working for them so far. And don't get me wrong I would own an 2003+ cobra any day.
(For strait line acceleration that is)

but its still LSX FTW!! gm did a great job with the LS series and i still stand behind my point that i think they are #1 in performance right now and have been for a good number of years now. ever since the LS1 and there doing nothing but getting better. plus they put there cars together better. camaros put there power down to the ground better than mustangs. its nothing if you cant put it to the wheels.

    I agree
GM Has been on the leading edge in that stand point since the LS1.
    Amazing motors

in a 1 min 12 sec road course the gt500 was only 1 sec behind the zo6. of course it is easier to handle with a car that ways 500 pounds less but svt is no slouche when it comes to handeling. its just nobody brags about there handeling, only about there strait line

    I can believe that..
Think of how much force it takes to get it sideways.
It's not fun on a track.

How ever many times you have taken me...
    ;-P

    Restate that question:

How many times a year would I go to the track if I had a zo6...
(Or a car built for the track)
i.e. 5.0 for the strip. Maybe coming soon
Then I would say A LOT..

I can't see myself getting sideways in many situations if I had a car that could do it.
Leads to bad consequences more times than not..

if your buying a zo6 just because its good at the track. i could build a car for half the price of the zo6 and kill it at a road track. they were saying the zo6 is hard to control once it starts to go sideways. ie. on a road course and your pushing it hard. once the backend starts to get lose it gets kinda dagarous as were the the cobra is alot easier to control. plus that is half the fun anyways. and if your car is fast enough and rwd its gonna go sideways, even in a strait line

and how you gonna tell me about going sideways leads to bad situations??? HOW?? haha out of all those times that we went out and slug the ranger all around and had an effin blast, i cant really remember anytimes that ended bad (except when i went in the creak but i was going strait when i did that) as long as you stay safe and smart about it i dont really see how. plus if you have a bad ass car that can burn then threw 4th, your not gonna try and do some cool burnouts?? your gonna be more likely to lose it in the corvette.

The Mustang GT has been trying to keep up with the z28 since 1993. The 3rd gen camaro's lost to the fox body most of the time but in 1993 the mustang got demolished by the lt1.

My brother used to beat 02ish GT's all the time in his bone stock 1993 z28 6 speed. Mustangs are not impressive. Yes the terminator are fast but they are not in the same price range as a z28. They are closer to the vette. Best bang for the buck right now is ls1 cars.

you seriously know nothing about cars, so dont talk about cars, the terminator original msrp not the dealer mark-up was around the same price as a 02 ss or t/a ws6, so do your research before posting please, the original msrp for the cobra was 33,460 and the camaro was around the exact same price if not more, they were 37k for the top of the line camaro, so how can you say the mustang was closer to the vette in price when a base vette was around 50k

98 GT's with the 4.6 were only rated at 225hp
