i was on my way home from work when this black 96-98 gt mustang comes whipping threw traffic by me, when he got stuck behind a slow moving vehicle i passed him i got in the gas so he could hear my car whine just a little, and here he comes after me reving up with his straight pipes. We were running about 40-45 and he took off and so did i and he got the jump, but once my car got in higher rpms i pulled on him about a car or so and i let out, then we got stopped at a red light he rolls down his window and asks if i wanna do it again so when the light turned green we were off again i pulled no lie at least four cars on him and then i let out and hit the brakes and he does a ricer fly by on me lol
i thought that car would beat me for sure but i guess not

Nice kill. Always feels good whooping a Mustang

Next time use some punctuation, and some spacing...makes it hard as hell to read without those.

PI heads and intake on a NPI Bird motor really help. Bumps compression up to at least 10 on some 10.5.

96-98 mustangs I would rather have a 5spd 3.8 and put the SC on it, but that's just me.

    Nice kill.

Why is this? My girlfriend has a 2002 with the splitport 3.8? The car runs beautifully and has plenty of power. Has 120k miles on it and has never had any problems at all.

Every single person I've known that had a Ford 3.8...always had some sort of cooling issue with em...and 2 of them popped head gaskets...those were also both in T-Birds...from the mid 90's...so, not sure if they changed anything.

The head gasket themselves were bad design. It was not in the head of the vehicles. Once you replaced them it was fine. LOL EEEEWWWWYYY...

See...I figured as much...like GM LIM gaskets there is always an aftermarket fix somewhere.

I can't see myself ever "wanting" one. I could put up with one as a DD though......maybe, sh*t. Forget it I just changed my mind. I'm not trying to be funny either, I seriously just had a moment of clarity.

Actually on the Birds it was the exhaust on the P-side. When it came from the manifold it had a 90 degree bend and went right into the Cat. That created heat and it would travel up to the manifold and tranfer to the head. Alum head and cast Block. Put ARPs on it and never look back.

The newer 3.8s with the 5spd in the little stang would move for their day.

All the guys hating the 3.8 fords show up to club clash and shut them down. They have won every race excluding one. All the GP guys say they are faster, but none ever show up to prove it. Very sad.

"mods op" means, what mods do you have original poster (op).

Nice kill. I get a kick out of those mid to late 90's Rustangs. They think they're great, but they're actually dogs, lol.
