idk about everyone else, but everyone I know gets a kick out of driving a beater import. Probably because they all own trucks and everything around us is 20 miles to 60 miles away so they need that for gas.

We took a honda accord to our pasture once and we were driving that thing off of steep ravines, 4 wheeler jumps, just anything that we could. Car broke the radiator and the exhaust was crushed but it was drivable and fine.

Explain to me why you would not?

You sir do not know what you are talking about then.
Have you ever raced on a track and no not a drag strip a road track?

Any one of those cars would slaughter and car on the forum on a road course.

If you have you would appreciate any car made to preform very well in races.
I can bet with 100% confidence that if you got into any of those cars and drove around a track that your opinion would be swayed.. That is of course if you know how to drive other than in a strait line...
This is America, and here in America, we like to drag race. Not racing rally cars around a dirt track.

i am going to have to sort of agree other cars may be made to perform well in courses but when people try racing you on a street than thats what were talking about no one is talking about performance in a derby or loop because we are not "pro-drivers" they may be fine and dandy not going in a straight line but most of us are talking about street racing so that has no effect on what is being said... someone in a "ricer" is not challenging us to a derby race it is usually a stop light race from intersection to intersection or just along the freeway

Not like a stock honda is fast at all. Just like a stock GP might not be fast at all either. How much money do you think they have stuck into those Honda's you showed. If someone would take that much money and stick it into a gp I am sure it would beable to keep up. I can respect a well built car but honestly imports have a bad name because of the people that drive them. Big wings and big body kits are NOT cool, but that is only my opinion.

"racing" stop light to stop light...yall must not go in the twisties much. anybody can go strait. lets hit some turns. try and throw your big family sedan around some turns, not saying that you cant, but you might respect some hondas then when there passing you threw the turns...this is america we dont have those kind of racing...what about lemans, drifting, auto x, hell even nascar turns. you would be neive to say racing is just in a strait line.

It all depends on what kind of racing you like. I tend to lean more towards flat track myself. You act like a stock honda will rape a grand prix in a road course?

but like i said above when these ricers try racing us its in a straight line its not at a curvy track so they challenge us at a road thats straight thats where we race they dont challenge us to go to another place to handle turns they always wanna race right there on a straight away plus a straight line shows how fast your engine is face value not how good your suspension is

but as i said in another post if the car is legit ...cool ...ill respect it

The 99-2000 Si has the most aftermarket support of the civics, lots of goodies to help them hang in the curves

i got a buddy with a civic who thought he was cool. I don't think i need to get into detail, but it ended with him in the fetal position about 50 yards behind me.

my best kill was over my friends 05 GTO. He had a terrible launch and i had him for dinner.

I forgot we are in America, I guess I can not blame you... NASCAR is the best sport of all time!

I was referring to the actual skill of driving a car in more than 2 directions..
Kinda like Formula One, Le Mans, things to that nature...

Who said anything about a dirt track?
But on that note you proved my point even further.. All you care about is who has the most money under the hood to go in a strait line for 10 seconds..
    So narrow minded...

I agree with you. I was just simply proving the point that it is Ignorant to say "you would never drive a civic/import". So I put up examples of cars that you would be stupid to say you would not drive...

First there is a reason you do not see GP's in those type of races.. And no if you put the same amount into a GP it would not even be close to those on a road course... I'm not comparing the two cars.. Like I said they are comparing two different types of breeds. I am simply saying that these people that say they hate ALL civics are Ignorant..

Yeah but a new one would do it a lot easier than an older one I would think. And like we're talkin about above, I'm more of a straight line drag person myself. Not that I don't respect road racing, but it's just not my thing. And I'm not saying I hate all civics either. I was beside a B20 civic the other night, and I have a lot of respect for it. And no duh a S2000 would beat a GP on a road course, but we aren't talking about S2000s, were talking bout civics.

I agree a new one would kill it more so that an older one.
I am glad you are not like most the other people in here.
They seem to not respect Honda at all.
