buddy called me up and asked if i wanted to race, so of course i said yes. my mods are gen v, 3.5, n*, 3" dp, hai. The T/A is a 97 with hedman headers and funcional ram air, auto. he said it was having trouble shifting into gears, but you run what you brung right?

Coming from a lt1 z28 auto I can tell you good job. Because my bolt on and geared auto z28 was a beast compared to my gtp.

All I have to say is don't get too exited, my wife's '95 Z28 convertible with nothing but cat back, a/t, 3.42 gears and a tune runs 13.60's on street tires.

Read my story in my profile.

I bought a 97 TA WS6 6 Speed. Got rid of it and now have a 01 GTP. Im sorry to say but a GTP does not stand a chance against a TA.

Nice run though! If you read my story, its nice to see a GTP trying to beat a TA. Your car ACTUALLY kept up with the damn thing! (top end on the TA will win)

You know what though! Laugh at that TA! Just wait until that thing starts breaking down (which it will! Trust me, they ALL do!) Did someone say... Electrical probelms??

My LT1 was uber reliable. I never had any problems except it drank gas like nobodies business. I had pacesetter LT's, cai, trick flow intake elbow, mail order tune, shift it, 3.73s. Ran low 13's all day long no matter what the temp was. It was a pretty quick car for what it was. Plus it was a heavy ass t top car with every factory option except leather and it wasn't a vert.

You either had a Terminator or it wasn't a stock Mustang.

Yea I have not see any stock stang out run a stock lt1. Except some cobras. Even at that I have seen stock 6 speed lt1's beat the new mach 1's, and some cobras. My brother beat a 05 GT auto with his 93 6 speed lt1 with just a cai.

it was mostly stock, and it was a 01, i won every race against a lt1 except one, but a lot of people said my stang was faster than stock, but all i had was cai, and i dont know if its colorado or what but but from what i've seen lt1 vs. new edge is a drivers race, but a ls1 will beat a new edge and a s197, and by the way a terminator will smash any camaro or t/a stock, and im sorry but a stock lt1 will not beat a mach 1, but of course this is a gm site and evrybody hates mustangs and they're the slowest cars in the world, but i love both so forgive me for not being bias towards one

eghh. terminators are fast. 12.9 at 110. but ls1's are 13.1 at 108. not that much of a difference. ls1's are faster than mach's. a properly drivin mach is faster than lt1. mach's are 13.3 at 104. ive seen stock machs do 12.9, plenty of ls1 owners stock have gone 12.9 ive seen 12.6. termies have gone 12.4 i think most lt1's are mid to high 13's at about 100..
