Is it a stick or auto? If it's an auto I got you by 2 cars if you know how to launch. If he's got a 6 speed I think you should get him but it will be close
There is no replacement for displacement........unless you have a supercharger or turbo

2000 Bright Red GTP Coupe GXP axle back, GMPP sway bar, NGK TR6, 180 stat. (Uninstalled Aeroforce Interceptor, DHP PCM, FWI, Gen V on the way) and still no pulley in sight.

Stock LT1's are slower Then crap on a stick. throw a cam and heads on them and they wake up VERY well.
i didn't know this till about a year ago, since my car had a few mods already done when i bought it.

Get a tune and I think you'll be much more pleased with the way your car runs. Having a 3.4" pulley on it untuned more than likely makes it run like ****.

I beat a stock LT1 with my mods just by 0.100 of a second on the quarter mile. I went ahead at the start but it was gaining on me. I guess I need that high end torque from the headers.

the lt1 is an amazing engine if u kno wut to do. i knew a guy with a 96 roadmaster with stock internals, and he twin turbod it, runnin 5psi at first. it had 585 horse to the wheels after tuned. he upgraded the internals, and ran 20 psi, then he had almost 900 horse. it looked stock too. talk about the ultimate sleeper

i'd say he'll win since you're probably knocking like its your job. Get a tune and some headers and you will probably take him.

He just needs a tune...if he gets a decent one before the race...it SHOULD beat it.

my gtp has ported blower, ported intake manifold, 3.4 pulley, OBX headers , 103 auto light plugs, custom 7mm plug wires, full exhaust, no emissions, cai, and a bunch of other things i forget haven't driven the car in about 5 months now lol. but it has no tune and runs damn good. i even have the boost blowoff valve circuit bypassed. and the tuner i took it to was damn near amazed why it was running so well.

but watch out for the cammed LT1's like mine, they really rip. i can't even keep my GTP near my camaro when i had my buddy race me with it.

sh!t, my 95 t/a I had didn't have any internal work or any headers and it trapped 107 mph. Be careful, they're not all slow.
