Idk...I have a swapped GSR Honda Civic (1997 Hatchback). When I was picking my car up from Ohio, I caught a 2004 Pontiac GTP V8 on the highway. Don't get me wrong when I picked up my car it had the head ported,B18c1 block, a B18c5 head, Stage II cams, 11:1 comp pistons, Eagle rods, track gears, headers, intake, exhaust,OBD1 ECU w/ race tune 93 oct running rich, fuel pump, lightweight flywheel, OEM Exedy Clutch, valve springs, valves retainers, WITH a B16a2 manifold stock, with an oversized throttle body.
The guy tried to blow by me at 90+ I was doing 55 put it in third hit vtec at 5600rpm and caught right up to the discontinued hunker....It was very slow I could hear him hitting it to the floor, Over my rice ass exhaust, It may have had something in it. I also used to own a GTP...DIdn't like it very much...
Talk is cheap it could have been an Ls for all you know....Mad mexicans lie about that stuff...Just because its a B18a1 or B18b1 does not mean its a GSR or type r (B18c1, B18c5) There is no way even stock it should have kept up to you by 5 cars or more, that guy is talking out of his ass.
