My best bro has a 95 mustang gt the last year of the 5.0 and he thinks its so fast. It is prolly one of the best sounding mustangs I have ever heard though(Headers, no cats, 3 inch to magnaflows). We were both driving back to my house when he decides to TRY to pass me at about 25. When I turned the corner I held the GTP in 1st because I knew he was gonna try somthing. I look in my mirror and all I can hear is V8 so i punch it. Now he is side by side and im pulling on him every time he shifts i jump a 1/4 of a car. I was pretty proud of the GTP after that

I hope so too, I had a buddy with a 5.0 mustang and I was stock and walked him over and over again even after how big and bad he made his 5.0 sound when he talked about it. After that he was saying how he knew he would lose and all this bs to this day he has never given my car any credit like when i barely lost to a 5.7l? GTO before the 6.0's came out and that was a 55+ roll on the highway (I had current mods I do now so after I get my exhaust breathing better I am sure I could beat that gto.) and the most he got on me was half a car. I win though because after about 110 his gov. kicked in haha ^_^

    A stock 5.0 (5 spd) with a real driver, is a mid-low 14's car.

Edit: My statement applies to foxbody's only.

TO used to 5.0 = Foxbody.

Well then his mustang really sucked balls I dont know what to tell you all I know is i beat him. If he still had the mustang and if I still talked to him like I did back then I would get a race and record it but unfortunately I am unable to do that.

that period after wizaired separated what he has with what he is going to be getting. I myself had also read it wrong.

95 stangs suck. They run a low 15 even with a crappy exhaust. They have a hard time getting out of their own way.

Its not a fox body, so its not super light. It is a 5 speed and hes a really good driver, so i dont know. He sold it to his dad and has a crossfire now, so maby he can get me with that little go cart.

the difference of driver skill: with my stock 2000 camaro v-6 manual i beat a 2005 gt manual from 25 and i let off at 105 with a car length.

when i bought the camaro i had looked at getting a 94 mustang gt, and also a 2001 mustang v-6, the guy sold the gt to a friend, and the 01 when i took it for a drive was blown around by heavy winds, where the camaro didnt. to me it was an easy choice

for ****s and giggles i raced an 03 cobra with the same car that had an aftermarket SC pully and exhaust work (this was a while back i dont remember all his mods) but he did a dyno run in the ballpark of 650hp... from the dig he murdered me, i didnt even get to hear the whine of the SC. by 60 he had me by about 6 car lengths

same camaro vs VW corrado (sp?) with that asshole w6 engine and stage 3 turbo system... (i did not know this when i raced him) beat him from a dig until second gear, i let off at 70 and he had me by 3 lengths (not bad for the camaro)

same camaro vs his son driving had him at the dig, he pulled when he shifted to second and then missed his next shift and i had him by 1 lenght at 90 when i let off

for manuals the driver makes the car, unless you are racing a 650hp cobra

90% of races are because of driver fail.

more like half the time. most people know how drive manual if they act like they want to race you

sometimes your engine just gets over reved too, i had a couple instances where i had to put more force on the gear box because i let the engine over rev, which may have cost 1/4 of a second of accelleration

edit: so i lost to a tuned cobra, and corrado because i am a ****ty driver? bone stock vs stock i couldnt beat them with a 200hp manual camaro... not even in the curves. although add curves and i am sure i coulda beaten the corrado
