Also keep in mind that if he knows what he is doing, putting the transfer case into 4-low will absolutely spank you up to almost 60mph in most cases...they just have to be a short race.

The Nissan Frontier "Desert Runner" model came with a S/C'd V6, but it was still a pig. The newer Frontiers have a lot more grunt. The desert runner was featured in an issue of Truck Trend back in 2001 or 2002 (pitted against the S-10 extreme v6, the Dodge Dakota R/T, and also the Toyota S-Runner)

The newer frontiers, if S/C'd, are pretty darn respectable.
