Few days ago I was in the SE. Had just dropped my mom off at work so I could use the car and pick up a few things for my GTP. I tend to take suface roads since I love to drive, one being a long straight stretch to the freeway. I'm at the light when I see a really clean white GTP coupe (98, based on the rims) pull up next to me with atleast an exhaust. Do one of those little glance overs and carry on waiting for the light to turn green. Light turns green and the dude launches and imediatetly I hear his supercharger so I know he has an intake at the very least as well. So I get on it (by this time, he's about a car ahead). I start creeping up to where we're door to door, shift into third and leave him like he was sitting still haha. Pulled about 3 cars on him before I let off. Slowed down and waited for him thinking he might want another go but instead he honks, gives me a thumbs up, and then proceeds to getting on the freeway.

Not too shabby for a stock l67 with nothing more than an intake on a non-hd trans haha.

Wait did I miss something? You beat a modified GTP with a stock SE with GTP motor?

if its not HD it will prob be a 4t65e (which is 3.29 geared) as opposed to the gtp trans 4t65e-HD which is 2.93 geared

Yes, it's a non-hd trans with 3.29 gears. The higher gear ratio is night and day over a stock GTP and it's 2.92. Pulls so much harder! Still hoping to find another GTP when I have a camera handy. Kind of helps with the nay-saying haha.

Thanks Nick, actually just took it for it's first drive today since I installed the new trans. Pulls like a motherf*cker! Just have to fix my exhaust leak and it'll be good to go

The GTP? Poor man budget 3.29 upgrade haha. Picked up a GT trans with pretty low miles, HD upgrade, ZZP 2500 stall converter, hardened 4th gear, ZZP shift kit and that's it.

The SE is ALL stock trans
