they are quick for what they are but aren't putting out close to the power you are with those mods. You weigh more but have plenty of torque and power to make up for it.

the 24 valve Yamaha v6 found in the 93's are way quicker than the 3.4 32 valve v8 found in the bubble style Taurus, not to mention more modding potential. Is the sho stick? is it modded? Those pre gen 89-95's have been known to beat mustang gt's with cheapo bolt-ons and good driver. It could be a close race.

I agree. I owned a 99 SHO V8. The v6's are absolute beasts for a taurus. There have been more than a few stock v6 sho's pull away from stock gtp's. People can say otherwise but the topend on the sho's is a force to be reckoned with and some of them come 5 spd.

i had a 5 speed 92 and it was a beast, i think it redlined at 8500 rpm. they scream on the top end. i think quater mile you got it but playing around on the highway with one you might look real stupid

I'm gettin varied reports onlinw but the quarter mile times range from mid to low 15s stock for the v6 sho. How the crap r they so quick? I've never raced one or even seen one race

I wouldn't mind owning one as a daily driver. They have that cool robocop look.

But seriously, they were capable performers for their time. I can't find a source, But I thought one year the mtx cars were faster than the GT mustang?

they pull harder up top, they like the RPM. The GTP's are great down low with the tourque. SO from a slow speed roll or ded stop lauch u should beat the SHO . From a highway roll though they run pretty good.

I love the way they look, 89-99's. I used to have a 99 myself, non sho but, it didn't move too bad at all. I loved that car but, I love my GP more

Man those were the days...just got my licence and drove around like a chimpanzee on crack.
