    ive got a 01 gt sedan with a HAI being my only mod so far. whats it gonna take for me to beat a stock mid to late mustang?

    Could you be more specific as to what kind of Mustang. V6 or V8?

    Well if he means an '05 Stang he may be spending a lot more than if he wants to beat an '04...

    Yeah the 05+ GT's are a bit different the the older bodystyles. The mid 90's are the easiest to smack around lol. For the 05+ F/I or spray will be the only way to take one.

    true story, i work at a ford chevy lincoln mercury honda dealership..... ford's v-6 especially those years were junk.... there new v-6 mustangs will give you a good run...... Give him a run now and I bet you smoke it by atleast a car..... let us know how it goes

    V6 Stangs in the 1/4 mile:
    SN95 96-98: mid 16's
    New Edge 99-04: mid-high 15's
    S197 05+: low-mid 15's

    As for GT's in the 1/4 mile:
    SN95 96-98 GT: mid 15
    New Edge 99-04 GT: high 13 - low 14
    S197 05+ GT: mid 13 - high 13

    Watch out for New Edge GT's in the 1/8th mile though. Those 2v's are very very torquey! My 03 GT put out 310rwtq. They are no joke!

    You've got no worries against a Ford 3.8, I used to smack them around in my 3.4 Camaro and that wouldn't beat much!

    my friend has a 07 stang gt with a predator tuner (goof got it in an automatic tho..lame) i can get him at start and til he hits 3rd....then his top end gets me...but im all stock (compG) atm...i think his best time last year at the strip was a 13.5.
