Any typical spec sheet says that there is a 20 or so pound difference between the coupe's and sedan's...97-03's tip the scales around 3600-3700 IIRC.
Like most people say. Especially since you had 2 buddies, 2 tires and just a intake. I highly doubt he wasn't WOT...or like mentioned too...he needed a driver mod BAD.
If it is a '03-'05...they were rated at 287hp and 274 ft. lbs...'06 to '09 are 306hp and 268 ft. lbs...so they gained like 20 horse and dropped 6 tq. meh whatever nissan lol
I say if you ran it cool...but he wasn't on it I guarantee it. Try again with no buddies and tires![]()
OH...and to whoever said 15.5 in the 1/4...driver mod. A buddy of mine has a '04 (the slow ones) and he ran 14 flats all day...
omg you make it like a 350z is a lambo or something, the car really is nothing special so get over it. If he said he beat it then he did, I have a friend with an 03' 350z too and yes he is slow, lost to a 02 3.5 maxima, 06 rsx type s, and an 03 rsx type s. Its really extremely likely that he won being mostly stock, sorry to disappoint you. Someone please close this thread.
I know it can be beat, but earlier I said they were over priced and over rated. I take that back they aren't over priced you get quite alot for what you pay for. FFS I lost to a maxima, he would have beaten him out of the gate but up top he would have won.
And you are the one treating a stock GP like it's king of the road, pretty biased.

Not sure about the newer 350, but the older ones with the Nismo package were only running mid to high 13's. Base models with a good driver could possibly pull a high 14 with good tires. On the street, I could see him pulling on one.
