I purchased a used, but clean, set of Dodge Challenger wheels. 18x7.5, +24 offset, somewhat of a dish to them. Thought they would fit no problem and look good for a winter set. Went to test fit them and the spokes rub on my stock caliper brackets. I know a spacer would probably fix the issue but the whole reason for buying these was because I plan to do CTSV' brakes so now I am worried they will not fit. In the CTSV brake upgrade thread it says "18inch wheels or larger with a offset of +35 or lower." So I guess my question is will they fit with the CTSV brakes?

I don't have a solid answer for you but I can tell you this much. You can't just say any wheel "18inch wheels or larger with a offset of +35 or lower" will work on an application. Spoke design is a big factor and it doesn't play into the offset or backspacing.

On the 3/S forums there are people that think since stock (on the TT's) is a 17" wheel that any 17" wheel or larger will clear the calipers. The problem is there are even some 18" wheels that won't clear due to the spoke design.

Seems like since they're only 7.5" wide, that doesn't help.

Hmmm, may just have to bite the bullet and try and resell them. The summer wheels i'll be getting are 18x8 +35. They should clear no problem, correct?

Or just run a small spacer.. Hell they're winter wheels they don't have to look good.

I have the exact same wheels in my garage cameron and they won't fit without spacers. They already have a low offset so spacers will make them sit out more. I'm trying to resell mine http://stlouis.craigslist.org/pts/4381077623.html

I think the offset causes the spoke design not to work but offset isn't the issue.

Yeah I'm pretty mad they won't. I may hang on to them and try to run a spacer when I go with the CTSV brakes. Got them really cheap and only going to be winter wheels.
