Anybody know of a brand, store, or site where I can find locking lug nuts for my '07 GXP? I live in a nice town but my job requires me to drive to some sketchy areas from time to time and I know the 18" Alcoa's draw a bit of attention. Thanks!

Not sure where to get them, but you'll need different sized ones for the front and rear rims unless you're running the same width on all 4 (I do this). If you don't get longer ones, they'll sit real deep in the holes on the front.
Good luck, post if you find some.
BTW: Consider yourself lucky to have an '07 with alcoas, there weren't a lot of them made. Many of the '07's have the knockoff rims.
Thats really weird. Why would you need different length locks for the different width of rims the GXP has? That makes no sense. Rim width has nothing to do with the lug nut length.
and even if they did sit deep. That’s what socket extensions are for.
anyways. Autozone sells locks. Now, I dont know if you will need tuner lugs or not. Dont know how wide the stock GXP lug nut holes are.
I'm talking only from a visual perspective. The lugs for the 8" GXP rims are quite a bit longer than the lugs for the 7" rims. A regular lock will sit even with a regular lug on a 7" rim, but will sit way down inside the 8" rim.
From a functionality pespective, a regular sized lock will work....it just won't look as good.
Make sense?
Correct, the lug holes are deeper. The front lugs are longer and you need to use a deep socket or you can crack the lug. There have been a few GXP'ers that have had theirs cracked.
I do agree, I don't think you'll even be able to find a longer lock. I went with the 18X8 alcoas all the way around and ditched the 7" rims.
So I can still run the lug nuts off of the old 7" rims, they would just look different? I mean I've never been one to just walk by a car and say "wow look how that car's lug nuts are different lengths" haha So I mean this won't bother me.
I just want to know if I can use the lug nuts off of the 7" rims on the 18x7.5's that I am putting on my 06 GXP.
Yes I know they aren't 8" wide rims but I'm not worried about that because I'm blowing on a 245/45 tire to compensate and it will be alright because the newer Monte's and Impalas with the 5.3L in them don't run the 8" rims they run the 7s all the way around with 225's and work just fine.
Just let me know if Id be ok using the same lug nuts. Thanks!
The lugs nuts are the same size for the 18x8 and 18x7 rims.
These 18x7.5 rims are what kind of rims?
You may not want to run the factory lugs on those "other rims". GXP lug nuts are really really long and likely wont look right on aftermarket rims.
They are Katana CR5 rims.
Also something that concerned me that you might be able to help with is the wheel offset? these have an offset of +45 and Im not quite sure what that will do to the look or function.
Wheel bolt pattern
Our cars stock have a 5x115 bolt pattern. Now that's all fine and dandy, but wheels with a bolt pattern of 5x114.3 also fit. If they wobble or vibrate a lot you may need to run hubcentric rings, but that is all you would need in order to run them. Some people say that the slightly smaller bolt pattern puts stress on the studs and will snap them when driving aggressively. There are a ton of people who have been running that bolt pattern for years who would argue hardly against that point. This means that as well as some GM fitments, you can also look for mustang, eclipse, maxima, etc. wheels because they have the same bolt pattern. The thing that matters is the hub bore. So long as the hub bore is the right size then you're good.
*NOTE: THIS THREAD IS ASSUMING YOU WILL BE RUNNING A TIRE AND WHEEL SIZE THAT IS VERY CLOSE, OR WITHIN 3% OF THE STOCK TIRE SIZE (OVERALL DIAMETER). For a great website to compare tire sizes, go to 1010TIRES.COM and check out their tools.*
If you want to run a 235/245 tire:
With the tire size usually close to the stock overall diameter, you should be able to follow these offsets for easier fitment:
17" wheel, up to 8.5" wide: +32mm offset to +50mm offset
18" wheel, up to 8.5" wide: +35mm offset to +48mm offset
19" wheel, up to 8.5" wide: +38mm offset to +45mm offset
20" wheel, up to 8.5" wide: +38mm offset to +42mm offset
etc.
etc.
You want to be able to run a wider wheel or a lower offset, then continue on and learn a little more about aggressive wheel fitments.
