My '05 Bullitts sit IN farther where Reptile's '04 Bullitts sit OUT farther, nearly flush with the fender.

Completely correct. 05s won't be anymore likely to rub than the 99-04 wheels. The 05s do have a higher offset, thus moving them in further. I like both, but the 99-04s are more aggressive.

I definitely agree, the earlier ones look a lot more agressive. I love the look, but they would shred tires on my car as low as it is. Not sure if rolling the fenders would even help that much.
