American Racing wheels with my stock Pontiac center caps.

245/40/18 with plans of lowering it come spring. Supposedly the best tires on the market. At $990 for the set mounted I hope so.. I had the 960s and they were great... also got a free Nintendo Wii for buying them lol

Holy balls a grand for tires.

They are good tires for grip but suck because they are directional tires and can cup easy.

Tread rating is so so, but hey if they are your summer rims they will last around 30k miles or a few years.

They are an all season and the tire is only partially directional. I think it said 40k mile warranty. I drove a set of the of the 960s through the worst winter storm I've experienced in 10yrs and these have a higher silica amount then the previous model. I have faith it was good money spent. Reviews are also awesome... only other tire I Had a choice of getting was the turanza and reviews sucked... only $100 less and no Wii lol easy choice.. plus on my firestone card with 0% for 6 months.

We are saying that because 245/45/18 would be the same size as stock and keep the speedo correct.

245/40's are just a tad smaller.

245/40 will be fine. Thats what I run on my GTP. Does it look bad in the SIG? NO

Now with that said. 04+s have more fender space so they will look way smaller than some 245/45s. Should look good lowered though.

Oh gotcha I'm not super experienced with sizes.. I actually wanted 245/50/18 but he said they didn't make them.. if I find out otherwise I'm taking them back 30 day guarantee or demand the size I originally wanted. I wanted a little more meat

I have a tech 2 at work I'm sure I can reprogram tire size.

they do make them in 245/45r18 which would be a little taller.

ROC, you're pretty low, almost flush really.

But a 2" drop would bring him to that level as well IIRC.

i'm lowered on eibachs and have 245/45/18 bridestone potenza grids. still dont think they fill the wheel well enough. i would trade your tires in for the proper size if u still can, but that's just my opinion

Gave firestone a call. They are ordering me in the 245/45s no charge for the swap. It says .48" more sidewall on the 45s so I think it'll still be fine with a drop

Considering the backspacing on the wheels, they look pulled in enough. Worst case scenario when you drop you will need to roll the fenders a little on to keep from rubbing. Nice looking tires just needs more low.

    Good job

I have the 960's predecessor to 970's. Love them. Kicking about 45K of hard driving and it's time to get a set due to me not rotating them evvver
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Yeah I had a set of 960s on my old 04 gtp and it drove through one of the worst snow storms I've ever experienced and didn't get stuck... snow going over my hood literally.

Yeah I'll be sure to rotate them.. I got a couple hundred free miles off these 245/40s so that's always nice..

Still deciding on which springs to go with yet..
