Doubt it.
An AVG weight for a 16-17in rim is 18-20 lbs for our cars.
They say the 94-96 rims are 16-18 lbs.
But we have no proof of any of this, because no one has pictures or anything.
i was hoping someone had some rims they could weigh but u read somewhere that a comp g had upgraded suspension, different brakes, 3.29 gears, and lighter rims
In the brochure for the Comp G package they advertise lighter weight 10 spoke wheels.

5. Light weight Machined Finished 10 spoke wheels (could be upgraded to 5 spoke wheels Curved Chrome in 04 and Polished 5 spoke wheels in 05)
no its just one of those Grand Prix myths i was hoping to clear up with facts lol i would love those rims if they wernt facing the wrong way on one side of the car....stupid gm cheapness
Torque stars are the lightest stock wheels as far as I know at 16lb. Those comp G wheels are probably the same weight.
So... To answer your original question, yes. The comp g wheels are most likely the lightest weight rims of the last generation Grand Prix.
alright good deal! and yes i would notice it just looks retarded how they do that, corvette wheel dont do that there spinning the right way on both sides of the car
i feel your pain i had torque stars and there the same way, made the passenger side of my car look like crap
They look better and better the faster you go.
well alright im still not getting the rims because of it, ill stick with my non directional rims

there not as noticeable but there still noticeable and thats all that matters
Haha. Alright. I was always bothered by directional rims but I have never really been bothered by the torque stars. By far the best stock wheel that you could get for the car. IMO

What matters more: the ability to rotate your tires and prolong their life, or how it looks for the 10 seconds it takes to walk up to it?
Lets be honest, you are going to be the only one looking at your car.
