Does anybody know anything about having rims re-plated with Chrome. I found a set of wheels like the ones below on cl. The inner rim is peeling hard core and I'm wondering if it would be worth rechroming if I can get them for $250.

$250 is kinda high unless they have really good tires. I'd just paint or powder coat them.

Being the year it may not be true chrome plating. Look up a company call "Goodrich" with "wheels" using google.
Should come up with a company that does a relatively new process that is being used on new cars and alot of aftermarket
wheels. They have distributors that do the process, alot thicker then chrome too. Haven't checked cost in years I was looking
for an alternative to chrome when I was have one off parts made.

    Here is their website.
