Okay, that's what I thought. I've heard of some doing 8 and 8.5 but nothing over that. I didn't know if there was any other discussions on this thread about wheels that wide, I didn't really feel like reading through 16 pages to find out, so I figured I'd just ask. So there's no mods that can be done to make it fit? or should I just contact the manufacturer of the rims to see if they have any in 8 or 8.5?

What about 9? still too wide?

could you do a 9 or 9.5? sure. is it going to take some work to fit? yup.

there's going to be two problem areas:
    1) the fenders, you're going to need to roll them
    2) the inboard clearance with a higher offset, wide wheel

you'll have to do some measuring before you take this on.

I had a feeling it was going to take some work haha
    Thanks Bio
I'm going to do some measurements whenever it stops raining, I'll let you know if I end up going through with it.

What if I buy a 5x115 18x7.5 24mm offset wheel? What do I run into?

24mm offset isn't that big of a deal on a 7.5" wide wheel. it should fit fine.

*copy/paste from your thread i answered in, too*

24mm will work with a 7.5" wheel. Roll the fenders and you'll be good.

Has anyone had issues with pre-gens rubbing on the rear fender cutting the tire? I just picked up a set from a guy with a '98 SE and he showed me where it was rubbing on his 225/60/r16. I bought them anyways because I'd never heard of anyone complaining about rubbing and thought maybe something was wrong with his car.

they are fairly low offset wheels, so it doesn't seem out of the question.

I got them on with 225/60 and have a lot of room, I wonder if he had an issue with his alignment or something else because they fit nice.

His alignment could've been out. Then again all he probably needed to do is roll his fenders.

You may not even have to roll the fenders. I had 18x9s +30 with the same tire on Eibachs and never rubbed.

That's starting to push it. You'll probably need the fenders pulled, rolled, and run more camber. I rolled my fenders and running more camber with 8.25" wheels @ +25.

Then again I'm running a 245 tire so if you run a narrower tire you may be OK.
